Jackson Hole

I decided that I need to update this for some kind of a record of my thoughts. Jackson Hole is a place that obviously becomes ingrained in your mind for a reason. The sights, the anticipation, the sounds and eventually getting out on the mountain with first tracks in fresh powder is something that you cannot recreate. After skiing at such a place, I realized that I needed a few more things. Especially because we ventured into the "backcountry" which at times was potentially hazardous yet rewarding.. -Transmitter -Probe -Shovel -Wider skis -Avalanche awareness/safety course -climbing skins It also humbles you. It makes you realize you are just one person who thinks you may be somewhat good at something but then you realize you hardly compare to the level of confidence other people have. We saw cliffs get sent in real life that are the same ones that appear in Teton Gravity Research films. When you pull up to a cliff and inspect the landing before you drop, it makes you wonder if you'd ever be able to do a 30 footer if the 10' seems daunting now.... It kinda makes you want to move out and do it...
